Biopure, a company that makes blood substitutes, is suing scientist Charles Natanson for defamation after he published a critical review in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Nature magazine has condemned the lawsuit. It "could have an enormous chilling effect on scientific inquiry," says Cleveland Clinic cardiologist Steve Nissen, whose controversial analyses of safety risks from the diabetes drug Avandia and the painkiller Vioxx resulted in billions of dollars in lost industry sales.
Some people are saying "a plague on both houses," noting that Natanson has come under criticism for "failing to disclose a conflict of interest in a medical-journal article he wrote" that was critical of blood substitutes.
Advandia is in many lawsuits across America and is know to cause heart problems. Some of the other medications for diabetics is suspected of doing the same...There's no easy answer except to check your eating habits and replace them with healthier ones.
Some herbals are good but many want a quick cure - all that is non existent to an "eat all" life style. Life takes discipline, that many will never learn and die slowly of a miserable death. The drug company's take advantage of such ignorance's, it's their greed and creed.
Metformin causes B12 defendants. Take more B's...
Did you know that research has proven a connection between Alhemizers and Diabetes's. (parasites)
