Think Again About Stevia

I really have used, a lot of stevia, in all forms. I stopped when I noticed my major lung problem stopped when I didn't have my daily diet drink that Coke came out with. So then I began to look up the side effect. I noticed I needed more calcium, had heart problems and made my asthma worse with attacks at night. I stopper and I'm getting so much better. If you have some of the cautions in this post stop till symptoms are gone. Take more and see if it returns. I won't do that I had sever renal failure.

         Stevia is perhaps unique among food ingredients because it's most valued for what it doesn't do. It doesn't add calories. Unlike other sugar substitutes, stevia is derived from a plant.
The stevia plant is part of the Asteraceae family, related to the daisy and ragweed. Several stevia species called "candyleaf" are native to New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.
But the prized species, Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni), grows in Paraguay and Brazil, where people have used leaves from the stevia bush to sweeten food for hundreds of years. In traditional medicine in these regions, stevia also served as a treatment for burns, colic, stomach problems and sometimes as a contraceptive.


Today, stevia is part of the sugar substitute market.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture estimates Americans added more sugar to their diet every year since the 1970s until 2000. When Americans dropped the added sugar, they turned to sugar like extracts. The sugar substitute market was estimated to be worth $10.5 billion in 2012, according an analysis by Markets and Markets research firm.
And the market may be growing. Just 18 percent of U.S. adults used low- or no-calorie sweeteners in 2000. Now, 24 percent of adults and 12 percent of children use the sugar substitutes, according to a 2012 review in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. [9 Snack Foods: Healthy or Not?]
Does stevia work?
Stevia has no calories, but it is 200 times sweeter than sugar in the same concentration. Other studies suggest stevia might have extra health benefits.
"Available research is promising for the use of stevia in hypertension," said Catherine Ulbricht, senior pharmacist at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and co-founder of Natural Standard Research Collaboration, which reviews evidence on herbs and supplements. Ulbricht said Natural Standard gave stevia a "grade B for efficacy" in lowering blood pressure. Other studies suggest stevia could benefit people with Type 2 diabetes, but Ulbricht says more research is needed.
A no-calorie source of sweetness is an obvious diet solution in theory. But a few studies show that replacing sugar with artificial or low-calorie sweeteners may not ultimately lead to weight loss in real life.
A 2004 study in rats found low-calorie sweeteners led the animals to overeat, possibly because of a mismatch between the perceived sweetness and the expected calories from sugar, according to the paper in the International Journal of Obesity and Related Metabolic Disorders.


The author of that study later argued that people who use artificial sweeteners may suffer health problems associated with excess sugar, including metabolic syndrome, which can be a precursor to diabetes.
"A number of studies suggest people who regularly consume ASB [artificially sweetened beverages] are at increased risk compared with those that do not consume ASB," Dr. Susan E. Swithers said in a 2013 opinion letter in the journal Trends in Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Yet there is also evidence that stevia does nothing to change eating habits or hurt metabolism in the short term. A 2010 study in the journal Appetite tested several artificial sweeteners against sugar and each other in 19 lean people and 12 obese people.
The study found people did not overeat after consuming a meal made with stevia instead of sugar. Their blood sugar was lower after a meal made with stevia than after eating a meal with sugar, and eating food with stevia resulted in lower insulin levels than eating either sucrose and aspartame.
The question of whether stevia is safe to consume largely depends on what someone means by "stevia." The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not approved stevia leaves or "crude stevia extracts" for use as food additives. Studies on stevia in those forms raise concerns about the control of blood sugar and effects on the reproductive, cardiovascular, and renal systems, the FDA warns.
However, the FDA has allowed companies to use an isolated chemical from stevia as food additive, calling the chemical "generally recognized as safe." Now, products such as Truvia and others have the legal go-ahead to use Rebaudioside A, which is also found in stevia, in their no-calorie sweeteners. (now white, bleach and is a chemical- never use bTruvia )
But there are some health concerns surrounding the stevia plant. Stevia may cause low blood pressure, which would be of concern to some taking blood pressure medications.
"Caution is advised when using medications that may also lower blood sugar. People taking insulin or drugs for diabetes by mouth should be monitored closely by a qualified health care professional, including a pharmacist," Ulbricht said.
Stevia may also interact with anti-fungals, anti-inflammatories, anti-microbials, anti-cancer drugs, anti-virals, appetite suppressants, calcium channel blockers, cholesterol-lowering drugs, drugs that increase urination, fertility agents and other medications, Ulbricht said. People should talk with their doctor before deciding to take stevia in large amounts, she said.

CAYENNE PEPPER TO STOP HEART ATTACTS

February 13, 2015 - Did you know that you can actually stop a heart attack in its tracts with the simple but amazing and awesome power of cayenne pepper? It’s true. Cayenne pepper can actually stop a heart attack in about 60 seconds flat!

How To Use Cayenne Pepper To Stop A Heart Attack Fast!



Famed healers such as Dr. John Christopher, N.D., and Dr. Richard Schulze, N.D., sang the praises of Cayenne pepper. For instance Dr. John Christopher declared: “In 35 years of practice, and working with the people and teaching, I have never on house calls lost one heart attack patient and the reason is, whenever I go in–if they are still breathing–I pour down them a cup of cayenne tea (a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water, and within minutes they are up and around).”

It should be noted that these men, and many other healers like them, were speaking from personal experience and not speculation when referring to this powerful plant.

So what are the best practices in using Cayenne pepper based upon the voice and experiences of those that have actually used it?

First the Cayenne pepper must be at least 90,000 heat units or 90,000(H.U.) to be able to stop a heart attack. If the cayenne is at least 90,000 H.U. and the person is still conscious, the recommendation is to mix 1 teaspoon of cayenne powder in a glass of warm water (this is essentially a “cayenne tea”), and give it to the person to drink.

If the person is unconscious then the recommendation is to use a cayenne tincture or extract, again of at least 90,000 H.U., and put a couple of full droppers underneath their tongue full strength. As noted above by Dr. Christopher, in 35 years of practice he never lost even 1 heart attack case if the person was still breathing when he arrived, and he attributed this to the prudent use of the cayenne pepper.

One of the most profitable uses of cayenne pepper is as a catalyst in other herbal combinations. As a general rule it should be added to almost all herbal combinations with the exception of those classified as nervines (combinations made specifically for nerve issues). Because it has a stimulating effect upon the body, it speeds the circulation thereby causing it to enhance digestion as well as absorption. Therefore it can enhance or increase the effectiveness of practically any herbal formula.

In fact it is often used this way in formulas for arthritis, various female complaints, infections, heart or circulatory issues, laxatives, diuretics, ulcers, thyroid issues etc.

Cayenne has at least 26 different nutrients! It contains minerals such as Zinc, Selenium, Calcium, and Magnesium. It also contains vitamins such as Vitamin A and Vitamin C. Additionally it boasts both “crude fiber” and “dietary fiber”, as well as Carbohydrates.

Cayenne certainly appears to be God’s “Nitro-Glycerin” when it comes to heart attacks and one would be unwise to leave home without it.

MINERALS: MAGNESIUM

MAGNESIUM, one of the most important minerals, and one most of us are lacking. Have your doctor do thoroughly a mineral count to be sure. This is a mineral you don't want to be low in.

Heart Health (Herbals)

Heart Health
These three conditions belong together (heart, cholesterol, and hypertension or high blood pressure) because they interrelate with each other and for the most part have the same health remedies in a holistic view in mind) and, it’s important to show these relationships to each other. Here are a few suggestion to reverse this condition.
Try one or two? It depend on how bad your condition is. Listen to your body and try one at a time.
Be sure to read related pages for the rest in the archives. It take a holistic way of healing to reverse a heart condition.
Some reason for the heart in peril is inherent or genes, however not all some is DRUGS taken that compromise the hearts nutrients and added poison or chemical to the organ, or nutrient depletion's such as robbing the body of CoQ10, environmental such a metals from steel plant i. e. or chemicals, sickness (High fevers, diabetes etc), and cholesterol drugs, periodontal diseases, bacteria, viruses, statin drugs also kills CoQ10. Sugar causes heart diseases by causing inflammations and toxic blood syndrome and food for the bacteria to feed and enlarge on Stress, gender or, hysterectomy (hormones) etc. (CoQ10 for energy)
Look to see if any of these remedies are missing from your regimes.
1. Amino Acid Tables, Gelatin, with extra L. Carnitine, L Taurine (These get rid of water)
2. High Blood Pressure: Very important to add the Omega 3,6, Oils: And the heart needs fat! Organic raw mono oils such as Borage, Flaxseed, primrose, and olive oil The (omega 3) smaller fish oils in Atlantic Waters (no mercury) and lots raw nuts to snack on. The same is true with insulin. Statin drugs lower this enzyme and causes anemia though out the body.
4. This will keep you calm, and help the bowels Magnesium Gluconate. 1 morning and 1 nightly (will aid in sleeping and building up the blood vessels

6. Mult. Vitamin and minerals, B complex and calcium (raw goats milk). Heart, cholesterol and high blood pressure medications (Statins) rob the body of the needed calcium and actually aids to the problem.
7. No sugars especially chemicals brands and corn syrups. No soda pops. Use Stevia, date sugars, honey i.e. IMPORTANT DO NOT USE ASPARTAME AND OTHER CHEMICAL SUGARS BY THE SAME COMPANY (This will weaken the heart muscles)
8. Bowels: Laxative Cascara bark, or with psalm husk seeds and/or sienna, 3 prunes or juice, castor oil and molasses, etc don’t forget to use yogurt or tablet to keep a healthy flora in the colon every day. A parasitical herb is a must. See page in this blog for details.
9. Herbs: Hawthorn Berry or extract, Cayenne (Capsicum), garlic 1000 mg., Lobelia (will interfere with drugs because it takes poisons out of the system) Alfalfa for the natural calcium, Comfrey for the live and the natural B-12 in the plant, 1000 mg of garlic, and use a parasitical herb.
You should closely monitor your intake of chamomile when taking drugs such as Warfarin. This drug interferes with other heart herbs. Think...all drugs go through the heart. Stay away from red meat at least. Meat clogs up the pipes...think!
CHAMOMILE (MATRICARIA RECUTITA)This popular herb called chamomile is used in many parts of the world. It is known to have a soothing and calming, spasmodic, anti-inflammatory and vulnerary (wound healing) effect. Chamomile contains a substance that helps to calm and relieve spasms. Although chamomile is often used for such purposes, and it brings the body back to the normal pH. (Lemon dink first thing in the mornings)
10. Kidneys: Fresh lemon aid on rising, pure boiled water and fresh juices. (Do a lemon squeeze in all your waters.) Don’t let the body get too acid. Lemons actually changes to alkaline in the body but, meat, which is alkaline, turn to acid as digested thus interferes with keeping the body the right pH and hard on the kidneys. (Parsley i. e.) Use distilled water if theirs heavy metal or lots of bacteria in the water (Reverse Osmosis.)
11. Liver: Burdock root or seed, Milk Thistle seed extract used with cayenne (Capsicum and Lobelia) or Astragalus root. Lobelia is a great herb for this condition It keep the body calm if taken the correct amounts. It’s usually used with another herb such as cayenne It’s also good at removing poisonous drugs from the body and may interfere with yours.
12. Colon: All 3 conditions have a micro toxin problem Use a parasite herb such as Olive leave extract, Oregano oil etc (They’re many others see the “Parasite” pg) Treat for yeast.
13. Diet: Milder food diet, in other words, plant based diet especially if acute and if in pain do not eat, (use no meats or really cut back) and the more complex carbs. If acute use the mucus less diet on page “Semi Fasting”. A balance diet is most important don’t get on fad diets or products. Greens, neutralizers, the body and brings the body back to neutral ready for healing and herbs like Chorella will rid the body of heavy metals. (Lobelia will also rid the body of chemicals.)
14· For Heart Attack: Make a hot cayenne tea, which is approximately 1 teaspoon of Cayenne. (There is a Cayenne tincture and it should be in your car, office and cupboard at all times) The attack can stop in about 2 minutes. Keep Cayenne on hand at all times if you have heart or stroke problems.
15· Stroke: Apoplexy Use Cayenne about ½ teaspoon and Mustard about ½ teaspoon and place in hot bath until patient sweats profusely. Cayenne about 1 tsp. in warm water to drink.

It's here because some CoQ10 is synthetic and comes from tobacco. Yuk! do not buy and check your sources.
I have congestive heart failure. I have to keep the water down. I uses natural diuretic's found in my other posts. One is celery and potatoes chip. They taste great together and, even with the salt one will control the other, as a snack. And, celery seed every meal and etc.

There are more than 20 studies which show that people over 50 with high cholesterol live longest, and there are no studies that indicate that high cholesterol is a risk factor for women, he declared. The widely prescribed statin drugs have many side effects including muscular problems, as well as memory loss and depression, he said. Rather than cholesterol, heart disease is actually caused by such factors as infection and inflammation.

Stroke_Watch The Tongue

"Blood Clots/Stroke - They Now Have a Fourth Indicator, the Tongue
STROKE:Remember the 1st Three Letters....S.T.R.
If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.
STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics.) She said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening
Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die. they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.
It only takes a minute to read this...
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough...

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the common sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.
Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other,that is also an indication of a stroke. "

Herbals For Blood Pressure (Hypertention)


Foods: A animal protein diet is a problem with high blood pressure. No Meats, when ever possible, use plant base diet if "acute" (which means now happening) or, use very little, deluding---washing heavier food like meat down with gobs of fibrous vegetables, fruit and whole grains. (Three gram 6 time a day with 3 meals and two snacks, at a minimum.) Never two meals consecutively especially if mild heart condition too. See: Post; "Mild food plant based diet" or, "Semi Fast" a no mucus less diet (no dairy or cheeses in serious cases.) The scriptures say, "...use mild foods"... when and if lacking faith to a priesthood healing" this diet connects here. (paraphrased) Word of Wisdom diet is a plant based...not meat based diet.  It should have been left as it was given..."not constraint or a commandment," for its caused "everyone" to error. Secondly, their are medicines from teas and always has been from the beginning of time. Capsules are just the modern version of dispensing plant herbal medications for marketing and controlling of supplement's.


Blood Pressure: When you treat the heart, liver, and the colon you'll also treat your blood pressure. (hypertension) Too much salt is far  over rated. Adding too much salt keeps up the water pressure inside your "faucets" causing fluids to back-up.. That's why if you have blood pressure you may from doctors get a diuretic DRUG, which afterwards; have to take potassium pill.
The rippling effects of this; pulling water off so fast causes loss in minerals then will cause leg cramps i.e.. Go figure? Doctors treat symptom not the causes.
Don't eat meat this will clog up the colon and also raise blood pressure, (if this is your main problem). Too much proteins is also hard on the kidneys, and then you'll need a diuretic pill again. Get you main plant basic vegetarian for the most part, (plant base) diet to correct the problem then hypertension will correct itself.
I'm allergic to fish, so I couldn't use the fish oil for b.p. however I've started taking krill oil, 500 mg. daily and my b.p. is back to normal. (Krill is what the fish live on and don't have a chance, nor a long life, to acquire much chemicals nor Mercury.) Accually you don't really need to read futher for blood pressure, but here are other natural means that will work for this and heart problems. I just will call them more "TID BITS"...

The heart needs mono fats: 3 g. daily or, Lecithin 3 tsp. daily, or Borage oil, Flaxseed oil and cleans out arteries, (smaller) Fish oil, Wheat germ, Safflower oils, i.e. (every day) 3,6,9 Omega fatty acids that will keep the inflammations down. (abt. 3 tsp.daily).
Herbal Aid: Cactus liquid, 10 drops daily
Herbals: Have on hand at all times (protects heart) Capsicum, (1 tsp 3 times a day), Great to have on hand in case of a heart attack. (I have a tincture on hand)

Lobelia, Hawthorn Berry, Sassafras, Garlic, and Chanca Piedra phyllanthus niruri (This herb will aid in plank build up, and increases bile secretions to lower blood cholesterol levels in rat studies.) Fenugreek is another blood thinner but is not be used with another pain relievers. It is not to be taken with drug for thinning the blood.
Chanca Piedra is for hypertension.
Melatonin is another good herb for HBP and a good calming influence for sleeping disorders

Parasites are always involved in any disease. Their are many herbals for parasites. Drugs are products such as Duflucan, fluconazol, or Nystatin, i.e. (from doctor) (Black Walnut Hull, good organic Oregano oil, Olive Leaf extract and i.e., see the page on parasites. It's a good idea to change from one herb to another every three months. There's not enough research on herbs killing specific fungals. Oregano oil can be dropped in a capsule and taken right away.
Treat for yeast.

Colon: I've had too many friends who think a bowel movement every two or three days is normal. This can cause a back up in the system flow and even headaches. Senna (strong; see colon care post) with Psyllium, Cascara Bark and other such herbal laxative, Mandrake if deathly sick will aid colon and liver but it is a laxative and not to be used if pregnant, or going to be. Keep the colon clear everyday. If this is not done it’s like a kinked hose, its building pressure and then leaks profusely. Fiber and/or fibrous plant based diet is important and/or add to the diet, Gymnema, or other such fibrous herbs. The bowel flora that is off in this condition. Add to it a good yogurt such as Kefir, i.e. 3-14 days and pro biotic therapy. Psyllium will sweep out pockets in colon and grab onto pockets, parasite and toxins. Add abt 1-3 mg of Senna if you still have constipation's. This is a fast moving herb to deal with and may have to be adjusted to individuals or substitute to a more slower moving herbal laxative.

Kidney: Drink lots of pure water (boil water), or reverse osmosis, or, distilled water if your normal water has heavy metals in it. Get a easy juicer and use sparingly fruits however fruits are better if you add in some vegetables. Always add in greens to slow down some of the process of elimination. Add some Lemons or Pomegranates and other fruit juices with foods or a bit diluted with water. Take herbs that are diuretic in nature to rid the body in some cases of excess water if need be. No stimulates such as drugs, liquors or tobacco that acerbates this problem

Nervines herbs for hypertension herbs are helpful, use nerve’s such as Hops, Hyssops or Black Cohosh, Lobelia, magnesium (1 morn and night) B complex and B vitamin etc. (B-12 shots anyone?) See Banana page also. Caution, using herbals such as Licorice Rt. with drugs for blood pressure.




Eat Meat Propaganda Use complex fibrous organic foods, Green leafy Vegetables and fruits, tomato juice, lemon juice (mornings), bananas, raw organic goats milk (if possible) and very small amount of cheeses with plant based fiber. Calcium is a problem because most drugs that treat H.B.P. deplete the body of calcium that is needed in most cases) this actually acerbates this problem. If you use B12 and calcium that needs magnesium to be effective. FATIGUE: is cause by blood pressure medications.

No GMO- Mono oil base margarines and use real butter with no hormones and use mono oils such as olive oil. No “white food or boxed process products. Also use plenty of Apple Cider Vinegar, Tomatoes, V8 juice cabbage family and organic soy, Royal jelly, Asparagus extract, Vegetable proteins (5 + servings)

Sugars: Natural raw sugars, Stevia or raw honey, Xylitol, only. Say away from any sugar, Aspartame sugar or MSG. I believe they actually cause these problems in the first place not salt.

Their is no magic cure: Insulin Resistance is simply too much sugar intake in cells. SIMPLY STOP excess SUGAR intake!.. OTHER THAN A TOTAL OF 9-ELEVEN TABLESPOONS A DAY. One packet is one gram 9-11 packet only.

Getting good regular sleep, meditating, exercising or being active in some way, positive thoughts, are helpful, but spices can help too. :)
