CLEANING TOXINS USE BEETS

Beets for the liver (My best teaching are coming by using recipes in this blog)
A beet is for the liver, and cleaning toxins from the body. Theirs an old saying in herb logy the color of the vegetable give you clues to its uses for the body. Another part of scripture history with speaks of the plants under the ground. Very healthy except if they are GMO's as sugar beets have now become. Raise you own garden and that was wisdom as we see today. Root vegetables as Japan is seeing after the nuclear explosion is best.

..."all grain," is good for the food of man; as also the fruit of the vine; that which yieldeth fruit, whether in the ground or above the ground-..."
*(Notice it say if it is not corrupt if the produce can re-produce itself, if it can't or don't have seeds etc. it's a GMO...there you go.) (I've been promised a decernment of the scripture, and even outof other books as well as others.)

Nature always gives us a hint in appearance in what and how to use the plant. Red is always for the blood. In my blog writings know I'm always speaking of organic plants.

Beets are one of the best spring tonic, because it helps cleanse the system and especially good in vinegar. They are used in other countries for bronchial problems in the spring and I find it to work great for this. The vinegar is a preservative so you can enjoy this great root vegetable longer without spoilage.
They contain large amounts of iron and other nutrients needed to correct anemia. Because of the folic acid is a good vegetable for pregnant women. Did you know beet is loaded with soluble fiber?
Sugar beet fiber contains approximately 73% total dietary fiber (TDF). This percentage is made up of 29% hemicellulose, 22% pectin, 18% cellulose, and 4% lignin.
Beets are another high-antoxidant veggie, with an ORAC score of 1840, and a total antioxidant concentration of 1.98. They contain many healthful substances: betaine (aka: trimethylglycine, TMG), betalains, betacyanin, betanin, folate, iron, and fiber. Beet fiber seems to be particularly healthful. Pectin is the soluble fiber in beets that binds toxins, heavy metals, and excess hormones that have been dumped into the gut from the liver. They are passed out instead of being reabsorbed. Betaine helps convert homocysteine into methionine, preventing heart disease. Beets are good in flue or any illness where the liver needs to be cleaned. Do get some good beet recipes and use at least once a month.
Beet Recipe:
I usually buy in large group of beets (usually 3) with the greens too. Now that I am alone I only use one large beet, saving the rest like potatoes in the bottom of the fridge. I do have a juicer and juice the greens. They are also good to eat.
The recipe is something like this: Adept to your family and circumstances.
Wash beets, cut the stems about 1 inch from the beet, and boil until their just fork tender about 30-50 minutes. Do not peel the beets tilled cooled slightly. Their skins will rub off skins easily if cooked enough under cool water. Cook and the peel will come off in your hands like the shell of a hard-boiled egg. Use as below.
Fresh boiled beets are best but you can use your canned beets (8 1/2 oz.)
1 T sugar
1 T. cornstarch
1/2 t. sea salt
2 T. vinegar (or more) depends on the tartness you want the same with the sugar.
1 T. butter (optional)

*Spiced V8 Juice (for use latter part of recipe) this is very a optional
Combine sugar or honey, cornstarch, salt to the slice beets in slices, and add vinegar, bringing them back to a boil, as the beet will thicken. Adjust the water if needed, depends on how many and large of beets. Take off and at the end add the butter.
For the beet greens add to crisp crumbed bacon or add in some other herbs, vegetables, onion or smaller boiled diced potato i. e. after the beets are drained. Season to taste
The broth is added to V8 juice or another juice you like to refrigerate and drink in all the minerals and nutrients the vegetables have produced. 1/4 Cup juice, sip slowly for best absorption of nutrients.

*Mineral are not destroyed by heat, even burning to ashes concentrates minerals. Matter cannot be destroyed.
See more recipes at www.answers.com under beet remedies i.e. (a very good site)
*To utilize iron due to anemia problems, (iron needs B-12 & C). The plants source for this is comfrey. Raise it in your gardens. It's easily raised. Buy the root cuttings. The reason it is so high in B-12 is that it is 30 % Protein. This is a fine example of nature taking care of itself in with natural chelating process. You can eat the tender leaves before it flowers, and add it to your stocks. Beets are good in anemia problems and can be sparingly added to juicing.

How to Use Beets Better.
Red beets are the ones to get, not the white, yellow, or striped ones. The red pigments are the beneficial substances mentioned above with names that sound like beet: betacyanin, betaine, betalains, betanin.
Eat the whole beet; do not juice it all the time. As some of the studies listed above show, the beet fiber is extremely helpful.
The more research that is done on whole foods, the more phytochemicals are discovered. Don't throw any of them away. Eat the whole foods.
Beets are hard and fibrous. Grate them, slice them thinly, blend them, or put them through a food processor or mortar and pestle. Charts vary for fiber 2.5 to the beet greens that are 3.7 grams of fiber so do not throw the greens away.

*Remember to take care of nature and nature will take care of you! Organic beets if you are sick. The others have been raped of many nutrients and anti fungal properties.
