Apple or Pear Butter

How to use (Organic?) apples to get natural organic pectin (cancer), vitamins and minerals, fiber, to make a simple, quality Apple Butter to use on whole wheat toast for that "sweet tooth" without using the naughty corn syrups that children eat too much of. This recipe can be used to make organic pear butter too, just add in other spices such as ginger and cardamon. I prefer white or organic raw sugar when possible. (Brn. sugar is more heavy with the added molasses) http://shermsrecipes.blogspot.com/2011/10/apple-pear-and-pumpkin-butters.html

2/3 brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon or apple pie spices or pinch of allspice

Pectin's a thickener, and it binds in water forming a gel. Because it is not digested its considered a dietary fiber and the organic fruit pectin is a powerful detoxifier. Use Organic, not genetically modified if used for medicine.
